Tutorial result

I finally got around to trying one of the tutorials I’ve bookmarked some time ago. I can’t figure out for the life of me why it took this long. Oh well, I’m just glad I took the time to do it.

The tutorial is by Ryan Scherf (whose designs are really cool), and it was posted at PSD Tuts (great site, check it out).

I did this in about two days. It’s basically the same design but with a different color scheme. I originally wanted it pink, but when I played around with the colors, this is what came up and it looked good to me. If you follow my Flickr, you’d recognize the photo too.

The tutorial’s quite easy to follow. I picked up quite a few tricks on how to make cool effects via Photoshop. All I need now is to learn how to code, and I guess I’m good. Designing is one part, coding’s another. I want to do both 😀

  1. I forgot when was the last time I had the patience to follow designing tutorials. Probably back when I used to creat Winamp skins? T_TThat design is very pretty and clean-looking even though it looks like splattered paint. *lol*
